Pastor Dan Cavey is a Canadian born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1957. He met his wife, Sharon, at Bible College and they have been married for almost 40 years. They have 5 children and one daughter in law. He attended Word of Life Bible Institute (NY), Washington Bible College (MD), and Dallas Theological Seminary (TX).
Pastor Dan came to Faith Fellowship from Ottawa in 2016. He has been involved previously in ministry as a youth pastor, local church planter and pastor, as a pulpit supply preacher, and a Bible themed seminar teacher. Dan has also worked in the mortgage industry and in a supervisor role at UPS. Sharon was the Child and Youth Coordinator at their previous church in Orleans, ON. for 5 years.
Pastor Dan enjoys reading, studying the Word of God, leading Bible studies and preaching. He is partial to Chinese food, pizza, and a good steak. He loves to play games with his wife, and others, and tries very hard to get to the gym when he feels like it.
Local church ministry, he believes, needs to focus on maturing disciples of Jesus Christ to fulfill both the Great Commandments (Love God / Love Others - Matt.22:37-40) - and the Great Commission (As we Go: Make Disciples - Matt.28:18-20).
Pastor Daniel Warne joined the pastoral team at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in April, 2019 after serving at the church as an intern for eight months. He is serving as an Associate Pastor specifically in the areas of young adults, youth, and children’s ministry.
Daniel has graduated from Millar College of the Bible in Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. He also served at Millar as the Director of Recruitment for three years, travelling across western Canada visiting churches, youth groups, career fairs, Christian camps, and Christian high schools ministering to young people and encouraging them to pursue the Lord through Biblical education.
Daniel is passionate about seeing young people discipled to know Jesus. He aims to live with Christ as his greatest joy and see other do the same, inspired by passages like Philippians 3:7-8 and Psalm 16:11. In his spare time, he enjoys reading sci-fi novels, watching sports & movies, and playing board games. He is happily married to his wife, Elise.
Elaine Beam began her ministry as church secretary in February, 2019 at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church. Her and her husband, Bill, have lived in Brandon for over 40 years and have attended Faith Fellowship for over 30 years. They are proud parents of three beautiful daughters and grandparents to seven grandchildren.
Elaine has spent many years involved with Awana ministries, both at FFBC and across the country, as a camp counselor, Canadian Adventure leader, and teacher. Before working at the church she was a health care aid working with seniors.
Some of Elaine’s favourite Bible passages are Ephesians 6:10-20, Psalm 46:10, and II Timothy 2:15 which says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
